Adam and his drinking in the office

No, not beer. I know he doesn’t drink beer in the office. All the beer bottles on his desk are unopened…and warm. No, I am speaking of water. And actually, its not his drinking, but his gathering of the stuff. In the kitchen we have a water machine with two spigots of water; cold and hot. Many of us retrieve water there. I do as well. I fill my big plastic cup from Yankee Stadium with yummy, refreshing cold water or make tea in my mug with the piping hot water. Also yummy. I like the China Green Tea leaf the best. It’s the closest tea I have found to Ichiban’s green tea, which I greatly enjoy with lunch.

Well, Adam often forsakes the wonderful water machine and opts for lower hanging fruit. When thirsty, he walks only half the distance and fills up his cup/bottle/sheepskin at the water fountain in the hallway (the one with all the smurfs on top driving cars and holding poop or something.) I am not saying this bothers me or that Adam must be a sick freak, I’m just saying I have noticed. That’s all.

I will also say i recently learned the above may not be true. Well, the stuff about me is true, but new evidence and conversation with the aforementioned adam suggests he actually walks all the way to the kitchen. I believe he actually jogs or all out runs once out of the back office. very sneaky.

My Man-date with Adam

Adam is a great dater! Wow! His girlfriend is soooooo lucky! Lucky i'm not gay nor a woman!!

Anyways, he was nice enough to drive us quickly to the Farmers' Market @ Billings Forge on Broad Street so i could buy a pie and some fresh chevre cheese. Yummy!

Next we flew over to Bushnell park to get some Thai Food on the Wheels. Yes, that is the name of one of the best Thai resturants in the area and yes; it is indeed...on the wheels. Ordering was funny as Adam ordered my favorite, panang curry with chicken. I did too, and also ordered us some spring rolls. Adam didn't take me up on my offer that is was ok with me to double dip. I did double dip.

We sat closely on a park bench at first, leaving half of it empty. It was a little wierd when I streached my arm out behind adam on the back of the bench, but we reveled in the awkwardness. We ate. We laughed. We soaked up some sunshine together.

Back in the office we sat down and began typing, checking messages and processing paperwork as we thought about our special time in the park.

Adam and Richard Simmons'

Today I saw a woman out the office window walking up the street who looked kinda like Richard Simmons due to her hair and outfit. I spoke up and Adam looked and agreed about her hair.

I asked if he was still alive and soon Adam was waxing poetic about Richard's life and how ironically he never looked too healthy. I agreed.

Adam interviews Jon Stewart

welll…..no, I didn’t talk to Jon Stewart, but I heard the other half of the conversation! huh? yeah! huh?

I returned from the road, walked into the back office and found Adam embroiled in a funny-ass phone conversation talking about mad subjects and trading quips and antidotes. Well, I assume at least. I mean, perhaps it was all a sham and he was just leaving a long voicemail message on his girl’s cel? No, wait, Dan commented about how Jon Stewart called perfectly punctual at 3:30. Hmmm……Perhaps it was Joe Barber calling? news.

The verdict? The dude’s a nice guy and pretty dang funny. And super punctual too!

Well, I guess that’s about it. Welcome to my new blog. I believe today marks a new low on the world wide webnets and I am proud to be contributing to its downfall.

This will prolly be by far the most exciting post, as after Jon Stewart, it’s all down hill from year. I don’t think I can even name drop Jon Stewart one more time before sounding ridiculous.
